Many brands experience the challenges of being at the forefront and remembered by the public. Nowadays, having good content is not enough without extra distribution to spread the content.
Allstar sees a business opportunity when the need for brands to find micro-influencers is increasing every year. Allstars wants to build a platform to be the solution for brands to gain better awareness, reach a wider audience, and prove the brand's credibility in the market.
After discussing, our team and clients agree to use Design Sprint as a framework, where we will map out challenges, explore solutions, select the best, prototype and test them. This process allows the client team to be more deeply involved in building the platform from scratch.
To define the challenge, we conducted expert interviews to understand the current problems within the brands and the influencers. Based on this, we looked for problem-solving inspiration and created solutions. Then we curated the solutions with voting and prepared a user flow that helped us design a prototype that solved the problem. Once the prototype is complete, we'll use concept testing to validate our idea.
We begin with asking the expert from the business side, brands side, and influencers side. While the experts explained the pain points of each side, other participants noted areas of opportunity that this platform could fulfill with HMW notes. After that we cluster and vote for the 3 best notes.
After that we started looking for long-term goals and challenges in the same way (generating ideas and voting), and also mapping each current customer journey. Then we move the 3 best HMW records onto the map to see which part of the journey we'll focus on.
We started by looking for ideas by taking a look at other apps in the lightning demo session and discussing each idea together. Then each participant starts to make a rough sketch of the solution ideas that can be fulfilled through this platform.
The next day, each participant was given time to look around and study every solution they made yesterday. After that, each person is given 3 dots to choose the 3 best parts of the solutions according to them. At the end of this session we get the ultimate solution which will then be made into a storyboard.
The storyboard process begins with each participant dividing the journey into 6 steps, after that we choose the best journey which we will turn into a storyboard sketch
Then, my team and I turned the storyboard into a hi-fi wireframe and made it a clickable prototype. We used Sketch, which was the most popular tool at the time for creating ui/ux designs.
The day of the test took place offline at the Allstars headquarters. Each participant for the moderated interview session is given a series of tasks to complete. We measure the usability of the concept by looking at how many users fail on each task and the severity of the issue, whether it will block the user journey or not. We also gather ideas from each participant for future improvements.
